Setting new therapeutic standards

Mahesh is the Chief Executive Officer of Boulevard Bio, where he draws on a 20-year career spent building biotechnology companies, commercializing new medicines, and leading large pharmaceutical businesses.

Previously, Mahesh was the President and CEO of Omega Therapeutics, which he built over five years, advancing it from a preclinical startup into a clinical-stage biotechnology company. As Omega’s CEO, he pioneered a new class of mRNA therapeutics as programmable epigenetic medicines, advanced programs to the clinic in record time, and delivered clinical proof of concept data for the platform. He also drove multiple transactions and led both private and public financings, including Omega’s IPO.

Prior to Omega, Mahesh held numerous leadership roles at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, including corporate Vice President and U.S. franchise head leading Oncology solid tumors, President of Africa, and President of Egypt. He also served as Regional Vice President of strategy and business development for emerging markets spanning Africa to Australia, where he oversaw the execution of large number of partnership deals across the Novartis product portfolio. He has led multiple product launches in the U.S. and across global markets, in multiple therapeutic areas. Earlier, he worked on projects across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, telecom, technology, and private equity at McKinsey and Company.

Mahesh holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an M.S. in Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He serves on the boards of directors of Ashvattha Therapeutics and KSQ Therapeutics.

Neil is CMO of Boulevard Bio, where he leads clinical development across the company’s pipeline, guiding programs from first-in-human studies toward regulatory approval.

Previously, Neil was Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of Aurinia Pharmaceuticals, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing therapies in disease areas of high unmet medical need. He is a recognized expert in rare disease drug development and is widely published in the field. At Aurinia, he led the effort to secure FDA, EMA and PMDA approval for Lupkynis^® in active lupus nephritis.

Prior to founding Aurinia, Neil was at Vifor Pharma (formerly Aspreva Pharmaceuticals), where he held the position of Vice President, Research and Development. He was the lead clinician in the development of CellCept^® in rare diseases and led clinical development teams responsible for the completion, reporting, and publication of studies in pemphigus vulgaris and myasthenia gravis, both industry firsts, as well as the successful landmark lupus nephritis study. Neil has held a variety of positions at Roche in both global clinical development and medical affairs in transplantation, virology, and autoimmune diseases.

After receiving his MBBS (MD) from Guy’s Hospital Medical School, London, Neil worked as a physician in London, UK, completing specialist training in anesthesia and intensive care.

Susannah serves as acting Chief Scientific Officer of Boulevard Bio, where she leads the scientific strategy behind the company’s pipeline with the goal to translate, a deep understanding of B cell biology into a portfolio of multi-specific medicines that give patients options for treating autoimmune disease. She is also Vice President, Translational Immunology at Deerfield Discovery and Development, which she joined in 2024.

Susannah holds an A.B. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University and a PhD in Biology from the California Institute of Technology.

Ohn is VP Immunology at Boulevard Bio. He leads the company’s immunology research and translational strategy, ensuring the right targets are paired to the right diseases and right studies across the spectrum of B cell biology.

Previously, Ohn served as Executive Director of Discovery Immunology at AbbVie, where he led program directors overseeing preclinical assets from lead optimization through IND and co-led the mechanistic human studies steering committee guiding experimental medicine across the immunology portfolio.

Prior to AbbVie, he was the Translational and Precision Medicine Therapeutic Head for Immunology at Teva Pharmaceuticals, overseeing early clinical strategy and biomarker execution across Phase 1-3. Prior to that, Ohn was at Sanofi, where he was a global project head in immunology and inflammation, leading global development strategy and execution for multiple assets in Phase 1-2b in a variety of immunologic indications. He also pioneered programs in real-world evidence, digital medicine, and pharmacodynamic assay development.

Ohn holds an M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Diego. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and fellowship training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Ohn continues to practice clinically as a Staff Physician in Allergy and Immunology at Lahey Hospital.

Rupal is Vice President, Clinical Development Operations at Boulevard Bio, where she leads the operational strategy and execution of the company’s clinical trials.

With more than 20 years of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry experience, Rupal has led the planning and execution of clinical programs across all phases of development, from first-in-human studies through global registrational trials across a number of therapeutic areas including immunology and nephrology. Previously, Rupal served in senior advisory roles, as SVP of Clinical Development Operations & Program Management for an emerging biotech company, and as a consultant to biotech venture capital firms supporting clinical operational strategy across portfolio companies. Prior to this role, she was Vice President and Head of Clinical Operations & Data Management at Neurogene, leading global gene therapy programs in rare pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders, including Batten disease (CLN5) and Rett syndrome.

As Vice President, Clinical Operations at AnaptysBio, she contributed to the filing of multiple INDs and led operational strategy across four clinical-stage immunology assets and a portfolio of more than 20 clinical trials. Earlier, she led the Phase 3 program for ozanimod (Zeposia^®) in Crohn’s disease at Celgene (Bristol Myers Squibb), in rheumatoid arthritis and non-Hodgkin lymphoma at Infinity Pharmaceuticals, and directed multinational Phase 3 trials at Tesaro supporting FDA approval of rolapitant (Varubi^®).

Rupal holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP^®).

Jifeng is a biopharmaceutical executive with more than 25 years of global experience advancing innovative biologics from early research through clinical development, regulatory approval, commercialization, and lifecycle management.

Most recently, Jifeng held executive leadership positions in China-based biotechnology companies, where he secured FDA BLA approval of biosimilars and NMPA approval of innovative therapies, including Becotatug vedotin and Dalnacogene Ponparvovec, China’s first AAV-based gene therapy. In these roles, he was recognized for driving scientific and technology excellence, building global technical operations organizations, developing CMC strategies, and translating scientific discovery into high-quality, patient-centric medicines.

Prior to returning to China, Jifeng spent more than two decades in leading U.S. biopharmaceutical organizations, including Sanofi, MedImmune/AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Amgen. At Sanofi, he served as Senior Director and Global Head of Product Integration, where he led strategic biologics development initiatives across the company’s portfolio, spanning multiple therapeutic areas and advanced modalities.

Jifeng has deep scientific and technical expertise in biologics drug substance and drug product development, protein engineering, analytical characterization, drug delivery, combination product technologies, biomanufacturing, and quality systems. He has authored numerous scientific publications, holds patents in biologics formulation and high-throughput screening, and has served as a scientific advisor and reviewer for leading scientific journals.

Jifeng holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Purdue University and completed postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Biotechnology Process Engineering Center.
